Since we created our R+D department in 2006, we have been involved in more than 30 projects.
I-REACT is a project that seeks to improve the ability to recover from natural disasters. All this through a better analysis and anticipation, rapid and effective emergency responses and an improvement of the conscience and social commitment.
The system integrates Augmented Reality, wearables, mobile application, drones, big data, social network data streams, and information from different satellites such as the Copernicus Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2.
The FLOOD-serv Platform is an emergency warning and management system in case of flood or prediction of it. It is based on the fusion of data from different data sources: sensors, social networks, websites, citizens, etc. It allows to implement the mitigation plans in case of flood. You can create missions and reports.
The system includes a Decision Support System that automatically suggests alerts and proposes actions to get out of the emergency situation.

TransformingTransport is an EU-funded project that represents a strong consortium of 48 leading transport, logistics and information technology stakeholders in Europe.
With a budget of EUR 18.7 million and the participation of 48 organisations from 9 countries, the Horizon 2020 Big Data Value Lighthouse project is working on finding a more efficient and more sustainable transport paradigm. It aims to show concrete, measurable and verifiable evidence of data value that can be achieved in mobility and logistics.
Leader of Sustainable Connected Cars Pilot:
CloudButton will “democratize big data” by overly simplifying the overall life cycle and programming model thanks to serverless technologies. To demonstrate the impact of the project, we target two settings with large data volumes: bioinformatics (genomics, metabolomics) and geospatial data (LiDAR, satellital).
The EmoSpaces main innovative aspect lies on considering emotion and sentiments as a context source for improving intelligent services in IoT. In the eHealth, elderly and wellbeing, much research has been carried out on the impact of emotion on the development and course of different illnesses as well helping people cope with depression. Nevertheless, developing IoT services considering emotions is still an unexplored innovation.
CitiSim´s main goal is to create a new generation platform for the smart city ecosystem. This platform will provide a powerful monitoring and control infrastructure for planners to make critical management decisions on tactical and strategic levels. For a natural interaction and better understanding of the events that happen in the city, 3D visualisation techniques like Augmented and Virtual Reality will be explored. CitiSim will provide service developers with a set of services, standards and tools for the development of applications for the smart city.
